Light of my life… My sin. My soul. My sunglasses! When I see heart-shaped sunglasses I think Lolita. I think gum-chewing, soda-pop drinking, lollypop twirling insouciance. I think a bit of throw away fun for summer afternoons at the pool. I don’t think forward to the time when I will have to draw upon what little diplomacy skills I have to win back my new pair of sunglasses which have been picked up by a confused pal at the pub who also has a penchant for the Lolita look and insists my Lolita sunglasses are hers.
