Having spent my university years selling very ordinary knitwear, picking up a great folding habit and nasty little stalker, I have since managed to avoid Bridge Road Richmond like the plague. It is ugly to drive down, nightmarish to park in and generally brings back way too many scary memories for me. But that has all changed since Meet me at Mike’s moved in. There is nothing like a Little Golden Book or a tin woodpecker toy to cheer you up and make you feel invisible against your (long-gone) threats.
