Once, when trying to enjoy a quiet stroll through a giant aviary in Queensland (let’s call it Birdland), I was persistently ‘buzzed’ by some sort of honeyeater. This despot just wouldn’t leave me alone, chasing me from one end of the place to the other. Later I learned that some of these syrup suckers are attracted to red flowers as part of some cunning floral pollination plan. I was wearing a red shirt at the time so maybe it was trying to gorge on the nectar it suspected I was hoarding. So to sum up – life with birds can be difficult but don’t let that stop you wearing this ‘sweet’ silk top.
