I always think that the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival marks the beginning of winter. Or at least the end of summer clothes. I go to those events and spend most of my time looking at the other people there thinking how inappropriately dressed they all are. Cocktails at 4 in the afternoon in 30 degrees? “I know, I will wear opaque tights, ankle boots and a heavy, designer smock dress. So hot right now, so up to the minute, so bloody boiling and uncomfortable…” Oh the price people pay for fashion. Enter this number – a smock that is cotton, lightweight, dare I say, trans-seasonal. Oh, and look, only 50 bucks. I am a genius.
